Chemical anchors and fastening systems

Specialized chemical anchor is a two-component resin mass used for anchoring building elements of different importance and category of responsibility. Due to high adhesion to the base and high strength, it forms an adhesive profile connection with the highest strength parameters. Chemical anchoring is the safest fastening for both solid and hollow materials.

What's so amazing about a chemical anchor? Our point of view is that you can use it for concrete, stone or other materials with hollow spaces. Moreover, in each of them he will achieve the best results and maximum strength. If you have ever used a chemical anchor, you already know that there is no better solution.

In full-bodied materials, such as concrete or stone, the chemical anchor receives the highest strength indicators. It allows you to withstand multi-ton loads, and its resistance to impulse loads is equally excellent. It also has another important feature, it does not add pre-tension to the base. Let's explain this thesis. When installing a standard mechanical anchor or even an ordinary dowel, when a screw or bolt is screwed into the hole, the shell or sleeve of the dowel breaks. According to this principle of wedging in the hole, fixation occurs due to expansion. These stresses, if they occur close to the edge of the concrete, can cause it to crack and peel. That is, these are extra forces that negatively affect the strength of the base and especially on its edges. When applied to the hole, the chemical anchor thoroughly fills the cavity and hardens. It adheres to the walls of this hole in each of its depressions and scratches, forming a uniform connection, thanks to which it is no longer removed. Because it does not introduce any pre-tension, you can safely apply it closer to the edge of the attachment point, ensuring a safe and secure connection.

Another advantage is that we can insert various elements into the fixed resin, not only a threaded pin, but a fitting, a hook, a screw, a bushing with an internal thread, and any other element. Once it hardens, it will be effectively attached and held in place by the resin "amen".

Chemical anchor gives a lot of freedom for fixing elements that require alignment both vertically and horizontally. This is due to the fact that the anchor, after being attached to the hole, allows us to install fasteners in the holes in the desired method for some time. We can align them, move them to the side, up, or deeper into the hole as desired. Once they are frozen, they can no longer move and serve our intended purposes.

Using a chemical anchor, we are not limited by the length of existing dowels. When working with standard mechanical anchors, before we get down to business, we need to know exactly what diameter anchor we will be installing and how much thread we want to leave outside the base. When installing the anchor, we can use different diameter rods that we need now. Even if we don't have the right drill bit, we can drill a larger diameter hole than the design calls for and it will still hold well. And finally, we can also place the anchor at different depths (the deeper, the stronger the anchor). The last option perfectly solves the problem of fastening in sandwich panels and when fastening through a thick layer of thermal insulation.

In summary... With a chemical anchor, a few different diameters of rods, a few drill bits, and maybe some mesh bushings for the voids, we can go blind on a construction site and solve almost any installation problem efficiently and safely.
